Welcome to the wonderful world of Club Penguin, once you had chosen your name and color, you were able to begin exploring lots of different places, full of cool things and fun games to play. You began in the main square and there was a map that allowed you to go anywhere you wanted.

You also got a quest to visit 3 places, each of which gave you a reward for your wardrobe or your igloo. In each place that you visited, there were other penguins and games for you to play. You could also own a pet called a Puffle, and they would follow you around, each with their own unique personality.

Each of the games that you played awarded you with coins that you could spend on new things for your penguin, from clothes to cool decorations for your igloo. Playing the games was fun, and there were lots to choose from. If you didn't want to go there on the map, you could play all of the games from a button on the map.

In Club Penguin, you could meet new people and make friends. You had the chance to talk to other penguins around you and add them to your friends list. There were also special events and parties that happened, as well as cool shows every weekend.

There were also special guests that appeared in the world, from superheroes to the Muppets and many more. When these events were on, you could meet them in the cities, and there were special shows featuring these penguins.

There were 2 levels to the game, members and non-members. Non-members could play for free and explore the world and play games, though they could choose to become a member. Being a member cost a monthly fee, but it provided lots more items to choose from, special clothes, and a much wider choice of games and events.

Club Penguin was a really fun place to be, with lots of bright colors and cool locations. You could visit other players' igloos to see how they had decorated, and chatting with others was easy to do. The controls were very easy, and each game told you how you needed to play it.

Unfortunately, there was a large difference between what you could purchase for your penguin and igloo as a member compared to a non-member. Many of the items required membership, and it could be a little frustrating trying to find items for non-members.

Having said that, there was still a lot that you could do in Club Penguin. All of the games were available, and each city location was open. You could still take part in special events and themed locations as well. There was so much to do there, and it was a really good place for children to play in.

Unfortunately, as time goes by, fans of the game grew up and not enough new players are signing up to play. The creators of the game resigned from their jobs at Disney to pursue other opportunities and well, it just doesn't make financial sense for Disney to keep the game alive at this point. So, on March 30, 2017, Club Penguin was officially shut down.
